1. Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM)

Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) is an indispensable part of modern production. This technology is used to create control processes for manufacturing. By choosing productive strategies, the control processes can be optimized to achieve maximum efficiency.

With interfaces such as the simulation environment, collusion can be detected and eliminated even before the practical implementation of the manufacturing process.

After a control process has been programmed in the CAM environment, it can be translated into the machine-specific control with the help of so-called post-processors.

2. Advantages and disadvantages of CAM technology
Advantages

The main advantage of CAM technology is that errors are reduced to a minimum when generating NC programs for machine control.
In principle, technical drawings are no longer required for manual programming on the machine.
